This is number 12 in my series of things to do with your children in Naples, Florida. Naples is a city that is beautiful and safe but it is not designed for kids. Hopefully, these articles will provide a short list of things to do with your kids whether you are divorced, separated or just have your kids for the weekend. I’m not just a divorce lawyer, I’m also a dad.
Tucked away on a side street off of Airport-Pulling road is Gymnastics world. Gymnastics World is housed in a massive 10,000 square foot, fully air-conditioned warehouse that has been converted into a gymnastics focused gymnasium. In the heat of southwest Florida’s summers, you need to have a place to take your kids that is cool and will let them be physically active for at least an hour. I write about a lot of places that are indoors, cool, and let kids be active because Naples needs them.
While the focus of Gymnastics world is various gymnastics classes, they have various open gym times where kids can play on gator bounce house and inflatable slide, 40 ft. tumble track, in-ground trampoline and sponge block foam pit. These open-gym play times have very specific windows of time for specific ages.
For children 6 and under:
Tuesday 10-11 am, Tuesday 1-2 pm, Wednesday 10-11 am, Wednesday 1-2 pm, Friday 5:30-6:45 pm.
These six and under open gym times are $ 9 per child and you must supervise your children while they play.
For older children ages 5 to 13 you can drop off your children and go to dinner from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm for $ 10 per child. A light chaser game will be available at this time. Various “parents night out” days are announced throughout the year.
Gymnastics world’s focus is really on the summer camps where you can drop your child off for a half day or full day at various prices depending on whether you pay now, pay ahead, buy just a day or a whole week of time.
Gymnastics world also hosts birthday parties. A two-hour birthday party is $ 345 dollars for up to 15 children and includes an instructor who guides the children through various activities and even keeps track of who gave what present. Birthdays are typically held on the weekend but special arrangements can be made in advance for the weekdays.
A variety of gymnastics classes are available based on the age and experience of the child. From pre-school classes to competitive teams, Gymnastics world has experienced instructors and coaches for on-one-on or group lessons.
There’s a trial lesson available so your child can explore gymnastics without making a big commitment to the sport.
After an open gym session, a birthday party or a gymnastics lesson you’re just a few minutes away from the massive shopping center at Pine Ridge and Airport-Pulling where all of Naples does it’s shopping at Costco, Aldi and Lowes. You know you’re going to have to run errands here sooner or later so you might as well do it after the kids are tuckered out from gymnastics. Also located in this shopping complex is what is probably the world’s best restaurant for kids, Chik-Fil-A.
